Sunburnt Athletics was born in the living room of SoCal guy who has lived in the water, in running shoes, and on his bike since he was a kid. Curtis, founder of Sunburnt Athletics, realized that while San Diego does have great large-scale race events at its doorstep every month, it doesn't have a race series and smaller scale events to tide athletes over between the big race days. This vision for creating a way for athletes from beginner to professional to both take a break from the daily grind and get their workout in in a fun, social environment gave way to Sunburnt Athletics's inaugural race: CROCfest 2010.

Curtis Williamson
Promotor Curtis, originally from Santa Barbara, is an entrepreneur at heart. He's an active guy who in his free time enjoys random and exciting work outs and frequents . If you really want to grab his attention, talk to him about ridiculous athletic goals.
Jen Morris
Support Jen was raised in Texarkana, Texas and credits her southern upbringing for her love of open space and a good plate of brisket. She found her way out to San Diego in January '10 and has never looked back. Jen enjoys watching PBR and is currently a fanatic listener of Vampire Weekend. If you want to grab her attention, just mention yoga, especially Kripalu yoga.
Simon Schafer
Grass Roots Marketer Simon, a full time lifeguard, enjoys being dared to complete anything. He was born in Irvine and has lived in San Diego since 2003. He is a sharp, quick, and witty guy; if you hear people laughing it's likely that Simon is around. When not life guarding or at a Sunburnt Athletics event, you can find Simon training for endurance running.
Jenna Murphy
The Fun Jenna, UCSD's assistant women's water polo coach, moved to San Diego in October of 2010. She came from Newport a community rich in beach going and fun. She reminds us all why we are out on these adventures and brings a positive attitude to everything we do. If you want to find her just mention Bird Rock Coffee roasters and a "recovery day" and she will be there.
